Abstract: In recent years the mobile application space has exploded in popularity, a fact which is reflected in the increasing availability of both free and paid applications on a variety of mobile platforms. In order to take advantage of this ever-growing market, the authors developed a mobile photo capture application, called CMobile, to supplement data gathering for a project/content management system. This paper describes the original design requirements and features of the application, the methodology by which design choices were tracked and implemented, reviews the issues and problems encountered, discusses the resolutions employed and lessons learned, and concludes with a discussion of potential future developments.
